1. About Our School
Wansawangchit School was founded on May 16, 1985, by Khun Yai Chalerm Jitkla, who was dedicated to supporting education for young Thai people.
We are a private school under the Office of the Private Education Commission, within the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Thailand’s Ministry of Education, and the Bangkok Primary Educational Service Area Office.
Originally named Wansawangchit Kindergarten, the school opened with Kindergarten 1 and 2 in a single-story building on three rai of land (4,800 square meters). In the 1989 academic year, we added Kindergarten 3 and a new three-story building named in honor of our founder.
In the 2001 academic year, we welcomed our first Primary 1 students and changed our name to Wansawangchit School. By the 2006 academic year, the school offered all six primary grades, and our first class of 18 Primary 6 students graduated.
Today, our campus covers more than 10 rai (16,000 square meters). We offer three stages of learning: Nursery (Ages 2–3), Kindergarten (Ages 3–6), and Primary (Ages 6–12). The school follows Thailand’s Basic Education Core Curriculum B.E. 2551 (2008).
Since our founding in 1985, we have remained committed to making our school philosophy a part of everyday life: “A community of joyful learning.”
Awards and Recognition
The following awards were received in the academic years listed:

2005: Received our first Royal Award for Schools at the kindergarten level.
- 2007: Received a silver medal from the Teachers’ Council of Thailand in the “One School, One Innovation” program for our project, “Developing School Staff Through Inner Transformation.”

2008: Received our first Royal Award for Schools at the primary level.

2009: Received our second Royal Award for Schools at the kindergarten level.

2009: Recognized as a Sufficiency Economy School for applying the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in education.

School colors: Yellow and Sky Blue
Yellow represents light that shines far and wide.
Sky blue represents the vastness and tranquility of the sky.
